Bridesmaid Proposal Basket DIY

Hi Guys!
It’s that time of the Wedding Planning stage where I’ve picked my Maid of Honor and my bridesmaids! So to Pop the Question to my girls I’m going to be sending them these Proposal Baskets. Now, if you search on Pinterest (which I did for a starting point) You’ll see that the majority of the boxes are just plain, basic wood or cardboard. Well, if you know me at all you know I’m NOT basic (except for in October when the PSL makes its return and fall is upon us LOL). So I wanted something different, something practical, and also something that was “me”. My wedding colors are Navy, Ivory, and Rosegold and it’s a beach wedding, so I wanted to incorporate that into the basket theme. I Found these amazing gold metal geometric baskets and navy and white rope at Michael’s! The baskets just happened to be on sale for 50% off, so they only cost me 4.99. I know, I couldn’t believe it either!
I added basket filler and wove the rope through the basket, tying a knot in the front.
The next addition, was of course champagne! We need something to toast to! I Found this La Marca Prosecco at my local liquor store, and let’s face it, they had me at the Tiffany blue and silver packaging.
I also added these metallic polka dot shot glasses because who doesn’t need an extra shot glass? (and they were 80% off after christmas at Michaels!)
I wanted to incorporate the beach/Cape Cod, but I didn’t want to send the traditional Salt Water Taffy and Cape Cod potato chips. I scoured Target (seriously, they have everything!) and found a lavender seaweed bath soak and coconut lip balm, so perfect!
For something sentimental, I ordered these rose gold and ivory knot earrings from amazon and printed out these cute little “I can’t tie the knot without you by my side” cards.
Just some of the witty cards  from Knotty Cards on Etsy
To finish up, I added a sand dollar to add just another beach-y touch to the basket. And there you have it! My clean and modern beach themed bridesmaid basket!
I hope you guy’s enjoyed my mini DIY and stay tuned for more wedding related posts to come!
Tim next time!
