Getting Personal: My most meaningful relationship
This blog post is sponsored by Rockland Trust.
Today on the blog I’m getting a little personal. Sharing things that happen in my life isn’t new for me. I told you guys when I got engaged, and shared my bachelorette weekend with you, and take you along on my Instagram Stories. However, I don’t usually talk about my husband. Weird, right? I mention him here and there and will reference him by name, or if you read my Men’s Holiday Gift Guide you know how picky he is. But you don’t really know anything about him. Well, today that changes, and I’m going to tell you why he is my most meaningful relationship.
Well, all that is about to change.
I met Ryan about 3 years ago on an online dating site, a reputable one I might add. He was one of the last dates I had, and by the end of the previous ones that just weren’t working, all I wanted to do was cancel. My best friend Shannon urged me not to do it, after all it was just coffee. Needless to say, we hit it off and three years later we got married. It wasn’t all smooth sailing. We definitely had some ups and downs, but when we both could’ve walked away, we chose to make sacrifices and make it work.
The thing I love most about Ryan is how supportive he is. He believes in me, even when I don’t believe in me. When I wanted to try my hand at Etsy shop selling my crocheted blankets, he was there encouraging me. He even bought me fancy crochet hooks for Christmas that year. When I thought I was going to be the next big YouTube beauty vlogger, he was there with the cameras and lights, and he even taught me how to edit my own videos. Last year, when I decided I wanted to focus whole heartedly on this blog, he was there as my personal photographer, and on occasion, my photo editor.
Every time I try my hand at something, Ryan is there cheering me on and helping me succeed. I couldn’t ask for anything better.
