Hi guys and Happy Holidays!
I know, I know, we haven’t even celebrated Thanksgiving yet! However, they are literally right around the corner. If you’re counting Turkey Day is 5 days away. The next thing we have to look forward to are all the Holiday Party invites and then the dreaded meltdown of “I have nothing to wear!”. Well, never fear my friends! I have put together 3 different looks using only items that are currently in my closet. Of course I had to throw in a few majorly over the top pieces ( I’m referring to the completely blinged out booties a la YSL, but for a tenth of the price). So whether it’s the office Christmas party , hostessing the sh*t out of your own extravaganza, or a formal affair, I’ve got you covered.
Look #1: The Chic Holiday Classic
What’s more Holiday Party appropriate than a classic red dress? This one from LOFT has a slight flare at the bottom and flounce sleeves, making it very on trend for the moment. Bell sleeves have been on the scene for a while now without any sign of going away. I paired it with a black and white houndstooth coat to tie it all together. When styling a Holiday look, you want to look festive without looking cheesy and dressy without looking too sexy. It’s all about statement accessories and balance. Speaking of statement accessories how great is this vivid red bag? The best thing about it is, it comes with a black strap that turns it into a messenger bag to take you from the office to the office party in a snap.
Look #2: The Edgy Holiday Look
Black and white typically aren’t associated with Holiday Parties, unless you’re attending a black tie event. But for us fashionistas black is always an option. I added some texture to this look with a faux fur vest and a wool check mini. I just love how this looks. It’s classy and edgy at the same time. I tied it all together with a white ribbed mock neck, burgundy tassel earrings and velvet pumps, and a Tory Burch cross body. You can find these pieces linked in the widget above.
Look #3: Holiday Preppy
I know what you’re thinking. Why did you do a preppy look? Well, just because it’s not my usual style, doesn’t mean that I don’t think it’s a really cute Holiday Look. I wear what I like anyway, and i really like the look of Holiday plaid and great cable knit sweater. Obviously this is a more casual look, something to wear to your family party or a laid back get together with friends. I actually picture one of my sister-in-laws wearing this but subbing the skirt for jeans. If casual is your thing then this is a super cute look for a Christmas get together.
