I’m so glad you’re here and want to be a part of one of my special days. Can you believe
the wedding is now 65 days away. Time really is flying by, I mean my bachelorette party was already a month ago. This is so crazy, I can’t even believe it. We still have a few loose ends to tie up regarding the wedding, I mean how hard is it to secure a rehearsal dinner location?!?! This past weekend was my bridal shower and It was amazing. My bestie/MOH flew in from Dallas, and my other bridesmaid drove up from North Carolina, and I got to spend time with all the people who I love. Because my bridesmaids are so spread out, my mother took it upon herself to plan my bridal shower, and boy did she do a phenomenal job. She did have some help in the form of my DIY bestie/bridesmaid Julie who made the invitations/decor/flower crowns and my soon to be sister-in-law who provided the “Bubbly/Marry” Bar, and my MIL who secured the location and did the centerpieces.
Now, to be honest, it wasn’t a surprise and I was VERY involved, which isn’t usually typical of the bride, but we ALL know how Type A I am. I did request a “modern garden party” theme (it doesn’t have to be nautical just because we live on Cape Cod) and I did semi-design the cake and cookies. There’s nothing wrong with a woman who knows what she wants! With that said, scroll down and take a look at all the fun we had and what an amazing job my family and friends did!
On the style front I fought my maid of honor about not wearing white, I didn’t want to be traditional. However, as you can see I ended up wearing a white Lilly Pulitzer dress. I had ordered a floral laced back romper from makemechic.com, and even though I ordered based on the measurements, it didn’t, AT ALL! Insert major meltdown the day before the shower and last minute shopping. Thank god for my level headed fiance who took me out shopping, and actually picked out this dress. I knew there was a reason I’m marrying him!
As always, you can shop my look (and my maid of honors look too!) below.
