The Under $20 Product That Completely Changed My Skin

the-under-20-product-that-completely-changed-my-skin
Let’s face it, we will do anything to stay looking young. Including spending 100’s if not 1000’s of dollars on overpriced skin care. My self included. My vanity is loaded with all types of skin care product claiming to “diminish the look and appearance of wrinkles”, “make all my dark spots disappear and resurface my skin”, or my personal favorite “be Botox in a bottle”. If I could insert a eye rolling emoji I would, but I’m just as guilty as the next person and bought into all the hype. I don’t even want to calculate how much money is sitting on my vanity in the form of miracle skin care products.  Now don’t get me wrong, there are some high end products that I love and that do what they say on some level, but I just find it crazy to spend a ton of money. I’m savvy you know!
As I was perusing the web (Amazon to be more specific), like I usually do after work, I came across Sky Organics Rose Water Toner and was intrigued. Let me start by saying that I love anything rose: the scent, candles, fragrance, and yes even a rose cappuccino every once and a while. This toner claimed to have all kind of crazy benefits and was only $15. What are the benefits you ask? Well,…
  • It’s said to stimulate the tiny blood vessels  under your skin helping reduce the appearance of tiny veins and capillaries.
  • It regulates your skins pH and helps with oily skin, which helps acne, dermatits, and eczema.
  • It helps to calm stressed out skin, and the scent can even help with anxiety.
  • It tones the skin, while also having antibacterial properties (bye bye acne1)
  • Can help with dark spots
  • Rose Water contains antioxidant properties which can help nourish skin cells and regenerate skin tissues
  • you can use it to refresh your make up through out the day and also use as a make up setting spray
  • It smells amazing in general
 Just to name a few
and
Rose Water Toner is also beneficial for your hair and body:
  • The same skin nourishing properties claim to help with hair loss
  • works as a hair conditioner
  • adds shine
  • helps with frizz and heat damage
  • relieve PMS symptoms
  • lift your mood after a rough day
  • It can help you relax before bed and that means a deeper, better sleep
So what exactly makes rose water so beneficial? Well it’s all vitamins found in the roses themselves. I knew there was a reason I love those babies!

1. It contains vitamin A:

Vitamin A supports cell renewal (which slows down the signs of ageing) and is important for your skin when you want a clearer, more even complexion.

2. Vitamin B3 (niacin):

Vitamin B3 is usually ingested in your diet to promote glowing skin and calm any irritation, but applying rosewater to your face will give the same effects.

3. Vitamin C:

Vitamin C promotes collagen production, which keeps your skin elastic, slows down ageing and helps with healing wounds (acne scars anyone? .

4. Vitamin D:

Vitamin D helps calcium absorption and supports general health when absorbed by the skin.

5. Vitamin E:

Vitamin E is great for protecting your face from air pollution and free radicals, but it can also encourage blood circulation for hair growth and general skin health.

Now you know the basics of roses, let’s get into the benefits of using rose water for skin.

How do I use rose water? Well, aren’t you guys full of questions today? I actually use it a few different ways.
  • I use it as a toner after I wash my face and before bed.  I spray 2-3 sprays all over and then proceed with my night time skin regimen.
  • I use it as a make up primer. In the morning. Before i do my make up i spray my face, moisturize, and do my make up for the day.
  • As a refreshing pick me up. After a long 9-10 hour day, i refresh my make up with a few sprays.
  • On no make up days, it’s the only thing i use on my face. It gives my skin a break from all the heavy products i use. I find that it absorbs so well, it gives my skin an instant glow.
  • Before bed I spray my pillow. The scent relaxes me and helps me fall asleep quicker.
  • If I want an instant pick me up, or forget to put perfume on, I spray some in my hair. Which not only smells good, it’s beneficial too!
The Rose Water Toner I use is from Sky Organics and you can shop it by clicking: HERE!

I’ve been using this product for a little over 3 weeks and I have to say that I’m pleasantly surprised. It makes my skin less oily for sure, and definitely give me an instant glow. I’m not so sure about the fading of dark spots or the hyper pigmentation, I don’t think roses are that powerful. I’ll leave that task up to my skin correctors and my concealer. Overall I’m satisfied at what it has done for my skin, and for $15 I’ll definitely be re-ordering. If you’re skeptical, I suggest you try it, you really have nothing to lose. If for nothing else, the scent alone is worth the price point!
So tell me guys, are you going to add Rose Water Toner to your regimen? Or do you already use it? Let me know in the comments below! And don’t forget to click the links above to check out Sky Organics Rose Water Toner and all their other products!
